User means you do not own it. For example, you might be granted a license to use a piece of software but you do not own it unless you buy the software company or the ownership from the creator.
Owner means owner...
you got a piece of hardware (or a car, or...) and own it. That's it. Anyway, why do they put the word 'user' to the DS, Nikon, iPod, ASUS,...?
